Wreck It Ralph

This movie is very adorable, and funny.  I actually like this movie. 

Wreck it Ralph is about this "bad guy" on a video game called Fix It Felix Jr.  The villain name is...movie title...Wreck It Ralph.  It's his video game's 30th anniversary, but no one invites him to the anniversary party or makes him feel welcomed.  So he tries to be apart of the other characters in the video game by trying to win a metal as a hero.  Ends up in another game helping a character in the game by finishing a race.  Sure the king didn't want her to win, but at the end we find out that he was actually a glitch and he was the guy who had to be in the spot light.

My Favorite Part of the Movie is when Ralph sees Vanelleope's picture on the side of the game and realizes that she's not a glitch and that she must finish the race.

The Saddest Part of the Movie is when the other racer girls wrecked Vanelleope's hand made car, and Ralph saw the whole thing and realized that the race was just as important to her as winning a medal was to him.  He decides to help her win the race.  She wins the race, whens back the medal he had, and have a win win situation.


I give this movie a 3.5 out of 5 stars...

the beginning was too long, and I was starting to day dream...but once the middle of the movie hits, it's sooooo much better.

Looper

OMFG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  If you haven't seen Looper you are sooooooo missing out.  Like this is an ABSOLUTELY POSITIVELY MUST SEE MOVIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Besides the fact that the awesome Bruce Willis is in it, handsome Joseph Gordon-Levit is in this AMAZING movie.  The cool part about this movie is that they made Joseph Gorden-Levit look more like Bruce Willis.

Type of Movie
So basically this movie is one of those thinking movies like Inception with the gorgeous Leonardo  DiCaprio and  Butterfly Effect with the good looking Ashton Kutcher.  It's a sci-fi, action, thriller...which it being sci-fi alone makes the movie AWESOME.


Short Summary
The movie is about how Joe finds himself.  I mean, his current self, is supposed to kill his future self, who is trying to kill his past self.  I mean SHIT!  It's like a the circle of life.  Luckily present self realized the circle of destruction.


Favorite Part
So my favorite part is when current Joe realizes that he's watching future Joe about to kill past Joe.

Funniest Scene
The funniest scene in the movie was when Cid fell down the stairs, and with his mind exploded the guy.  The funny part was when Joe tried to help Cid so he wouldn't hurt himself, and Cid's mother, Sara, pushes Joe out the house to protect him.  The look on Joe's face when the whole thing was happening was priceless.

Saddest Scene
The scene I didn't like the most was when future Joe was next to his wife, and then some mobsters broke in his house and killed his wife.  And future Joe was reminiscing about how his wife helped him get off drugs and change his life for the better.
 
Worse Scene
The only part I don't like about the movie, (sorry for being a bit immature) is when current Joe has sex with past Joe's mother aka his own mother.

But other than that, the movie was great! I give it a 8 out of 5 stars!!!

Think Like A Man

OMG I loved this movie!!!  This movie is the perfect romance comedy!  Even though this movie has mainly African American actors, it's a movie for everyone! 

So basically in this movie, women are reading Steve Harvey's book "Think Like A Man and Act Like A Lady", now the men are getting actually working harder than they usually do for these women.  Once the men found out about the women's game plan, they started to play with the game and out wit the women.  The only thing is, the women were only trying to protect themselves and now the men get caught with their lies.  At the end, the men actually started to step up.

Now the cast is full of big stars and always seen people like Megan Good, who played a woman who was going to start waiting to have sex with Mr. Right instead of Mr. Right Now.  Chris Brown pops up out of now where a few times during the movie, playing the asshole aka Mr. Right Now.  We have Gabriella Union who plays a woman who was in a relationship with the same guy for about 5 to 10 years (can't remember how long).  Then there's Michael Ealy who plays a man who's a dreamer.  The cast is beyond funny.  And you also get to see a familiar face, who hasn't been in any movies lately, Morris Chestnut playing the "typically" perfect guy. Kelly Rowlands also has a brief seen in the movie.

Out of the characters, I think I'm more like Gabrielle Union's character.  I relate to her.  And that's another perfect thing about the movie...the characters are relate-able.   I mean, for both men and women. 

I give this movie a 4 out of 5 stars.  It was great story line, the comedy was super funny, and it's relate-able.  The only reason it gets a 4 out of 5 starts is because I feel like something is missing.  This movie is a must see!!!

Underworld Awakening

This is the fourth Underworld movie. I am a HUGE fan of Underworld, so I'm completely biased. IT WAS FREAKIN AWESOME!!! Like it took my breath away!!!

So basically its about how the humans discover the creatures of the night, both the lycans and the vampires. And on a huge rampage, the humans started killing the vampires and the lycans, making both of them not only fight each other, but fight against the humans. So Selene and Michael was going to escape the madness and were going to a boat when all the cops were there slightly before Selene made it. The cops wanted Michael since he was the hybread. So the cops sees Selene also shooting at them and trying to escape with Michael. The cops are pretty pissed now, and has a bazooka with UV light bomb thing to kill Michael and Selene, but all it did was make them go to sleep. So these scientist ended up making sure both of them stayed a sleep for over 12 years. After 12 years of sleep, Selene wakes up and finds out that she has a daughter. So she's trying to protect her daughter from these scientist, to only find out that most of them were lycans trying to evolve and become bigger and stronger, and to kill all the vampires.

My favorite part of the movie is the fight scene at the end when the daughter and Selene fought those two super father and son lycans. AWESOME!!! Like the only thing that pissed me off was that Michael didn't start fighting. But the fight scenes were awesome! Like Selene is beyond AWESOME. She's hot, smart, and she kicks ass. That is one lovely lady. And her daughter is so pretty! She looks more like Selene than Michael. But even the daughter knows how to kick ass.

The part I hated about the movie is that Michael didn't show up at all! Like they only show him a few minutes in the beginning before he got into a coma. And when Selene broke up out of that sleep thing the "scientists" had him in...all they showed was the he left. He didn't fight at all. So not fair. I was really hoping, when Selene and the daughter started fighting, that Michael would show up and kick ass. That was the disappointing part of the movie, but I see that they will be making another Underworld movie, and of course, I'll be there and I'll blog about it.

This movie is a MUST SEE! If you don't see it, then you suck.

The Rise of the Planet of the Apes

I love both the original and the remake of Planet of the Apes...but this movie was AWESOME!!! It was not only beautifully directed, the acting was absolutely remarkable! This movie is for both Sci-Fi fans and non Sci-Fi fans.

The movie is basically the opposite of the Planet of the Apes and also explaining how the earth turned into Planet of the Apes. There was a guy, who was a scientist, trying to cure alzheimer, so he used this formula on chimps. Once he finds a female chimp who gets a puzzel right, he tries to show it to the board to get more funds, but the Ms. "Bright Eyed" went postal. They thought her animalistic ways kicked in but they didn't know that she had a baby and she was being protective. The scientist ended up taking the baby chimp home after all the others were put down. Then that baby chimp turned into Ceasar. The formula was pasted down into his dna and not only did he become smart, his IQ increased by double over a few years...faster than humans. Ceasar also had bright eyes, like his mother. Ceasar grew up in the attic and learning things. The scientist taught him how to sign so they could communicate. One day the neighbor was picking on the scientist's father (who has alzheimer), who accidently crashed his car (mind you he left the door opened). So Ceasar came to the rescue and ended up not only terrizing, and beating on the man, he also bit his finger off. Feeling bad, Ceasar went to the father to make sure he was ok. After that insident he was forced into animal protection where they locked him in a cage and treated him and other monkeys horribly. Ceasar started to think, and became a leader. Mission one was to show the other monkeys who's boss. Mission two conduct a plan to break out. Mission three become free. Ceasar achieves all of this and he spoke his first word "NO!".

The best part about the movie is when the fact they played into Planet of the Apes. I don't know if many people caught it, but they lost men in outter space. There for going into Plant of the Apes. The orginal movie the astronaut came back to earth after being lost and to find that monkeys ruled the world. :) Another way they played into the orignal is naming the chimp "Bright Eye" and also when Ceasar said "NO" the "gate keeper" said "Get your hands off me you dirty ape." just like in the original.

The sad part in the movie is how the guy treated Ceasar and how most of his stay at the horrible "animal jail". Not only was he attacked by another monkey who felt he was "the man" but also by the "gate keeper" who obviously felt threated by Ceasar because he was smart and cute.

The ending was too cool! "Ceasar is home."

If you like Sci-Fi movies this is the movie for you. If you like a movie that makes you think about how not only you treat others, but also animals, this movie is for you. If you like a good story. This movie is for you. Hell this is an AWESOME movie...it's a MUST SEE movie. And if you don't see this movie you are so missing out!!! I give this movie a 10 out of 5 stars!!!

Captain America: The First Avenger

This movie was THE SHIT!!! It is best seen in 3D. Most 3D movies kinda sucks, but you MUST see Captain America in 3D!!!

So basically the movie was about how Steve Rogers becomes Captain America by this formula that was "believed" powers came from the gods. The trick to the gods' power is your heart. Steve Rogers started off as a loser trying to get into the WWII and gets denied several times because of his health and his size. The thing about Steve Rogers is...HE NEVER GIVES UP!!! A German doctor who worked for the United States decided that he is the perfect person to inject the formula into. Steve Rogers didn't immediately become the heroic Captain America. He started off as a mascot for the US defeating Hitler and the German army. He became Captain America when he found out his best friend was taken into capture. He not only busted out his best friend, he also saved thousands of US troops.

The best part of the movie in my opinion is when Captain America busted out the troops that were captured and one of the troops picked up a gun Hydra's scientist created and zapped one of Hydra's men. But that whole break out scene was AWESOME! Best action scene throughout the entire movie!!!

The sad part of the movie is when Captain America goes underwater with Hydra's ship. He was talking to Peggy, and he was finally going to go on a date with her and be with her and finally dance. He finally found the right partner and at the end, he couldn't be with her. I mean, him loosing his best friend was pretty sad, but I think when he sunk the ship into the ocean was sadder.

This Marvel movie was AWESOME and I like how at the end they show how the next movie The Avengers is coming out and how it's all going to play out. Can't wait for next summer :D!!!

I give this movie a 5 out of 5 stars!!! If you like great action and Marvel, you will definitely love this movie. See it in 3D though. I saw it both in 2D and 3D and 3D is way better and worth the money.

Harry Potter Deathly Hallows Part 2 3D

On Friday, July 15th, I saw this Harry Potter movie. Mind you I DO NOT LIKE HARRY POTTER, but my best friend, Deyonna, forced me to watch it, so I decided to start writing blogs about my thoughts on movies. If you are a fan of Harry Potter, you might not want to read this blog :)

I saw it in 3D. It was ok, I guess. If people who like wands blasting as action instead of fist fighting, this is the perfect movie for you. I mean only once I saw someone use their fist, and it was that guy Voldemort hit Harry Potter. That was the most REAL action I've seen in the movie. It sort of made me laugh because they were blasting their wands as if they were actually attacking each other in a real fight. It was too funny!!! Like what kind of fighting is that? I guess the "magical" kinds...lolz

Another thing about the movie I thought was funny was is that Professor McGongall is COCK EYED!!! I mean on the wide screen it is SUPER obvious!!! That was beyond funny.

Also, dude haven't Harry Potter and Ron heard of SUNLIGHT! When they escaped from Ms. Strange's bank they had jumped into a river, I guess, and when they took of their clothes, they were SUPER DUPER PALE! I mean they were white. I mean I know their race is white, but goodness. I guess sun doesn't shine in Harry Potter-land...lolz

The touching part of the movie is because when Professor Snape died and asked Harry to contain his tears and Harry saw whatever happened in Snape's life and how he loved Harry's mother very much. That was the best scene of the whole movie. It makes Snape look completely different. He was supposed to be the bad guy, to only know he was working under cover as a good guy.

Another scene I liked about the movie was when Molly waved her wand at Bellatrix saying "Not my daughter you bitch." and puffed her away. I mean it would've been better if it was a chick fight, but yea, it was still total badass!

I was hoping Harry Potter dies, but he doesn't stay dead...which totally sucked! But at the end it showed his kids, and his friend's kids growing up going to the same lamo school they went to.


Well for people who likes witches and wizards and adventures, this is the movie for you. If you don't...then DO NOT WATCH HARRY POTTER or you will suffer like me.
